What to Bring

Whether paddling or rafting, the odds are you will get wet.

Suggested clothing

  • DO NOT WEAR COTTON
  • A synthetic, e.g.—nylon, swim suit as bottom layer
  • If the weather is cool:
    • For June rafting, a wet suit (if you have one or could borrow one) is ideal.
    • Light fleece pants and/or unlined rain pants
    • A synthetic jacket (fleece or wind breaker)
  • Sandals with a heel strap or water shoes
  • Tennis shoes for Eco-Tours
  • Sunglasses
  • Eye Strap (Croakies) for glasses
  • Hat (full brim is best)
  • Sun block (because water reflects the sun, sun protection is required)
  • Poncho
  • Towel
  • Dry clothes for ride back

Suggested Food and Water

  • Water bottle
  • Snack bars and/or trail mix

Keeping Things Dry

  1. All food and other items should be kept in zip lock bags to avoid getting wet.
  2. Electronic equipment, e.g.—cell phone and camera, and other valuables should also be kept in a dry bag or box. Keeping them dry and safe is the participant’s responsibility.
  3. Remove any jewelry that you wouldn’t want to lose.

Life Jackets and Safety Gear
Participants are provided personal floatation devices (life jackets).

FOR SAFETY REASONS, NO PETS MAY PARTICIPATE.
