The Spokane River Centennial Trail begins at the Idaho state line and ends at Nine Mile Falls, Washington. The one-of-a-kind Trail has its metropolitan center section in downtown Spokane, and branches out to more rural east and west endpoints. The Trail’s path generally follows the contours of the Spokane River, allowing access for many types of outdoor non-motorized recreational activities. Visitors can walk, run, skate, or bike on the Spokane River Centennial Trail. Or just enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, abundant wildlife, and gentle flow of the river.

The Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation Department provides residents and visitors with over 172 acres of unique parks and open areas, a variety of quality recreation programs, community events, CenterPlace Regional Event Center, a Senior Center, and three outdoor pools operated seasonally. Spokane Valley strives to support strong community values and improve livability by providing and promoting quality recreation areas, programs, and facilities.
EPIC Adventures is the Eastern Washington University outdoor program, which offers outdoor and adventure trips, events, classes, and equipment rentals. The general public can enjoy these services as well, but at a higher price.
FLOW Adventures offers a variety of recreation opportunities in the Spokane area and throughout the inland northwest. Locally they offer guided river rafting and inflatable kayak trips on the upper and lower sections of the Spokane River. In the summer, FLOW provides a daily river tubing service complete with a tube, pfd, and shuttle ride. For those interested in improving their whitewater kayaking skills FLOW has beginner, intermediate, and advanced lessons.

Fun Unlimited offers a variety of water sports equipment rentals at two locations on the Spokane River. At our Spokane location, paddleboards are available for rent. At our Post Falls location, paddleboards, jet skis, and boats are available for rent. Both locations are located on the water; no need to carry paddleboards. Each SUP rental includes a mini lesson.
Kayak Coeur d’Alene is dedicated to providing the finest in touring kayaks, fishing kayaks, and recreational kayaks, as well as a full line of Stand Up Paddle Boards and accessories. The Riverside Area encompasses approximately 14,000 acres and includes the Centennial Trail and the northern half of the Columbia Plateau Trail.
