The Riverside Area encompasses approximately 14,000 acres and includes the Centennial Trail and the northern half of the Columbia Plateau Trail. The park manages portions of the Spokane River and Lake Spokane shoreline from the Idaho State line to just below the Lake Lake dam. The main park is located northwest of the city of Spokane and offers towering pine and fir trees, birds-eye views of the river (including the Bowl and Pitcher area), broad vistas and panoramic views of the Spokane and Little Spokane Rivers. Visitors can partake in hiking, biking, camping, horseback riding, orienteering, boating, paddling, bird watching, wildlife viewing, trail running, rock climbing, picnicking, and off-roading. Visit the Spokane House and Camp Seven Mile to learn about the area’s culture and history.
