Shoreline access and a 5,000-6,000 trout hatchery make this a popular fly-fishing destination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Species:<\/strong> Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Whitefish<\/p>\n<p><strong>Launch Information:<\/strong> The SIRTI access point, located river left near the condominiums at Riverpoint Village, is the last take-out in this section. No watercraft of any kind are allowed below Division St.\u00a0 Use caution in higher flows since this is the last take-out and you are not far from the falls near Riverfront Park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rapids and Riffles:<\/strong> Motors are prohibited in this entire section. A couple of riffles exist between <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avistautilities.com\/environment\/pages\/waterflow.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Upriver Dam<\/a>\u00a0and Greene Street.\u00a0 Watercraft may have difficulty navigating these shallow, riffle areas during low flows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regulations:\u00a0<\/strong>All species \u2013 Selective gear rules. Trout (Sat before Memorial Day &#8211; Mar 15) &#8211; No minimum size, daily limit 2. Release all trout other than hatchery rainbow trout. Other game fish (Sat before Memorial Day &#8211; Mar 15) &#8211; Catch and release.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fish Advisory:\u00a0<\/strong>Before consuming fish, consult the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spokaneriver.net\/watertrail\/fishing\/fish-advisory\/\">Washington Department of Health&#8217;s Fish Advisory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fishing:<\/strong> Fair amount of shoreline access for anglers.\u00a0 Fly-fishers frequent the area below <a href=\"http:\/\/www.avistautilities.com\/environment\/pages\/waterflow.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Upriver Dam<\/a>.\u00a0 5,000-6,000 hatchery triploid trout are stocked annually in this section.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sport fishing here includes rainbow trout, brown trout, and whitefish.\u00a0 Motors are prohibited in this entire section.
